The Rewinders Podcast rewinds - and reboots - movies from the 80s and 90s that we watched as kids. We talk about what is remembered and felt about it as a child. Then, we determine if the movie still holds up. In between that we sing, make jokes, and act dumb in general. Current hosts of the Podcast are Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan. Movies are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis and are released on Monday mornings.

067 - A Very Netflix Christmas 2019 [The Knight Before Christmas]
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Why suffer crappy holiday movies alone? Suffer them with The Rewinders Podcast! Or, in this case, just Joe. This week's delve into Netflix Holiday movie madness is The Knight Before Christmas. Staring Vanessa Hudgens of The Princess Switch fare (knew she looked familiar!) and Josh Whitehouse apparently from the show Poldark (haven't watched it).
It's a movie about a knight vaping himself into the future to learn how to be the best medieval knight ever. Only to get hit by a car - which imbues him with the knowledge how to drive them... and stuff... He bakes a lot of bread... and stuff happens... Then he remembers he has a quest - and even though he says it is important - I don't know how much I'm buying it. Anyway, he save a kid and beats up a slightly older kid and heals an elderly kid, but none of those things fulfill his quest. BUT kissing a lady does - and he vapes back to the past where he instantly wants to return to the future (and another continent). He does - and happily ever after. [I left out all the lady boners - you need some reason to watch I guess]
Unlike past years, these riffs will not be super-cut. Sync up the audio track with the sound of the Netflix logo and have a side-by-each riffing experience! hop on your own Sherman Williams and gallop along with me, wont you?

Why suffer crappy holiday movies alone? Suffer them with The Rewinders Podcast! Or, in this case, Bethany and Joe! Continue this year's celebration of crappy holiday movies with A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby. Bethany has stated loudly and clearly that this will be her last year joining me in these recordings. Enjoy that last of her vicious commentary (many "What?!?"s and "Come on!"s were removed in the making of this podcast.) on the third part of the cornerstone of Netflix's Holiday programming showcase.
This time, watch as Aldovia is shown on a map with other countries - in some made up part of the world that doesn't really exist. We are introduced to a neighboring country that is generically Asian, Penglia. They share their journal between each country, but when it goes missing things get a little "crazy". Oh, and don't forget, there is a baby on the way, BUT GHOSTS! And generically Christmas... and the weakest snowstorm ever to shut down an airport. Rehash all your "favorite" characters as they are paraded in front of you and not developed. Except one character, but its just one thing - and it happens at the very end. Anyway - the series no longer has the charm it originally did.
Unlike past years, these riffs will not be super-cut. Sync up the audio track with the sound of the Netflix logo and have a side-by-each riffing experience! Hopefully, the video editor didn't let the audio track drift too much. Join us, for Bethany's last addition to the A Very Netflix Christmas side series of The Rewinders Podcast.

Monday Aug 17, 2020
Why suffer crappy holiday movies alone? Suffer them with The Rewinders Podcast! Or, in this case, just Joe. Start this year's celebration of crappy holiday movies with Holiday in the Wild. Staring ROB LOWE and that lady from Sex in the City... Bethany just yelled at me from downstairs, "Kristin Davis!" sure, babe... sure... no one knows who that is, but if I say "that lady from Sex in the City" they have a one-in-four chance to know who I am talking about.
A movie about being dumped as soon as your child leaves your New York apartment, but before he can even get to the parking ramp, or spot, or whatever they have on the fancy side of New York - and running away to Africa to surprisingly save digital baby elephants. Then returning to the big city, because you purchased a round trip ticket that only can be deferred so many times, and using your money and connections to save the day. Wrapping up with throwing aside the diamond studded dogs of New York to return to Africa. [heck, now you don't need to watch the movie!]
Unlike past years, these riffs will not be super-cut. Sync up the audio track with the sound of the Netflix logo and have a side-by-each riffing experience! Join me, wont you?

Monday Aug 17, 2020
Monday Aug 17, 2020

Previews fluttered the heart of Cyberpunk fans (or at least Joe) with bright lights, cybernetics, and sprawling mega cities.
But, will the story keep a Cyberpunk fan interested through the full season of Altered Carbon?
Joe discusses his thoughts and if this show delivers the goods for Cyberpunk fans that have been in a drought.
