The Rewinders Podcast rewinds - and reboots - movies from the 80s and 90s that we watched as kids. We talk about what is remembered and felt about it as a child. Then, we determine if the movie still holds up. In between that we sing, make jokes, and act dumb in general. Current hosts of the Podcast are Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan. Movies are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis and are released on Monday mornings.

Bill and Ted are two dufuses in high school that want to start their own band. They don't know how to play instruments - but have the heart. Little do they know, that in the future their music saves the world and makes it a better place. Instead of a Terminator - the future sends Rufus to the past to help keep Bill and Ted together and making music. What could break these two apart? History class - if they fail, Ted will be sent away to an Alaskan Military School - dooming the future to... something... we aren't quite sure what though - but it wouldn't be as awesome apparently. Listen as Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan go over The first film in this trilogy - and a little bit of the second (to Dan's dismay), how it fit into their young lives, and determine if this film still stands up. Something IS strange afoot at the Rewinders Podcast!

Its a late night... you have the stale flavor of an alcoholic beverage in your mouth (or non-alcoholic depending on your age/preference)... and you have this nagging feeling at the back of your mind.
"how hard did that Russian lady have to squeeze with her legs to obliterate that giant ant?" and then, the bad sexy thoughts start flowing - and now you know... you have put too much thought into the 2008 release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
(at least if you are into ladies)
I don't know... maybe you were thinking of crawling into Indiana Jones' extra baggy clothes as he was wearing them - and stuff... Or deciding who wore it better, Mutt or the Capuchin monkey. Either way... its sexy. Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan continue their peril in part 2 - deciding if Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a worthy reboot of the loved series.

How exciting is it to hear that one of your favorite series will return after around 19 years?! Its so exciting that anything the film can and could be end up being mediocre, just like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan try to piece together emotions and reality with how one of their most revered series of their youth had returned to them in 2008. There isn't much of a guess at how they feel about the film, but - does it hold up as a reboot? Listen to Part 1, and see how it is all being laid out on the table - bare - naked - cold - and afraid... Natalie Imbruglia, is that you?

The guys at The Rewinders Podcast have finished traveling through time from 1536 to 1986 -- from the Scottish Highlands to the part of New York City that has so many metal pipes people use them for weapons. Along the way, a few people lost their head for whatever reason... but others kept their calm and remained to make it to The Gathering... sort of... but not really... it was more like a two person gig in the end.
Did the guys think that the movie should have its own head removed, or did they feel like it has withstood the test of time? AND, what of the talks of a reboot?! All of this a more in this episode of The Rewinders Podcast!
2:34 - The Rewinders Podcast episode begins.

078 - Rebooting: Robin Hood [1973]

"You cannot understand my disdain for this movie unless you know my anger about what happened to Star Wars" - Ken (one of the hosts of The Rewinders Podcast)
In one of the most meandering episodes of the The Rewinders Podcast, the hosts talk about this Disney animation gem - and what it meant to them as children... and how it feels today.
Within the "Reboot" theme of this part of season 3, Disney's Robin Hood is discussed over its Disney+ exclusive reboot plan.
This Robin Hood movie is not only animated, but has animals instead of people. Animals that think that they are people! This is what the world would look like if they just evolved with opposable thumbs, so they could use bows, swords, lutes, and choke their snakes.
(why does my browser insist the word opposable is spelled wrong? Its making me nervous!)
Anyway, its a movie most of the hosts have been watching for years, if not most of their lives. See if they think it still holds up!
