The Rewinders Podcast rewinds - and reboots - movies from the 80s and 90s that we watched as kids. We talk about what is remembered and felt about it as a child. Then, we determine if the movie still holds up. In between that we sing, make jokes, and act dumb in general. Current hosts of the Podcast are Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan. Movies are reviewed on a bi-weekly basis and are released on Monday mornings.

Crows love vengeance - FACT.
This particular crow finds a guy who has had his life literally destroyed by a small gang on Devil's Night. So, like any good crow out for vengeance... it waits a year to bring this dude back to life... A YEAR. Imagine being dead for a year... well, we have very little information on how that would feel... but imagine, and then being given some life back to crawl out of your grave for the pure motivation of MUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRDDDDDDERRRRRRRRRRR
Oh yeah, and the bird picks a rainy day - so you get sick immediately - maybe... unless super crow powers keep you from getting sick.
Aaaaaannnnnyway - crow whispers murder to you and you murder. Then die again.... IN THE RAIN. GAH! at least a pretty lady in white will kiss you into the sweet embrace of your second death.
Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan discus the 90s action hit - The Crow. Does it still hold up? Listen and find out!
Or listen and get bummed out... thanks Joe!

Its the FUTURE... but the future is the past, specifically 1997. And the FUTURE is FULL OF CRIME. So much crime, in fact, that Manhattan is walled off and turned into the United States' version of early Australia... a prison island.
By complete coincidence, the president is crashed into this mega, super secure, never escape prison - at around the same time - SUPER CRIMINAL and possible War Hero, Snake Plissken arrives to be imprisoned and is tasked to retrieve the president to earn his freedom, AND LIFE! (were there too many commas in that last sentence? too bad)
Snake goes in - wanders around, asks if anyone has seen the president before being chased by cannibals for a short period of time. He finds an old acquaintance in this prison who helps him get to the president, but is snitched on... again.
In the end, a bunch of stuff happens - and Snake gets the president out, but it takes fighting in a weird wrestling match, driving over a bridge filled with mines, chased by "the Duke" who runs the society in this prison, and do it all within the amount of time given before his neck blows up.
Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan talk about this film and its possible reboot that has been in the rumor mill. Is the film good? Is it a product of its time and budget? Does Plissken live on in video game form?
Come and listen!

This description needs input... NEEDS INPUT!
**inserts input**
A prototype robot receives a surge of power from a lightening strike and instead of melting down - becomes sentient. Then ravages a small home of kittens to declare what everything is in accordance to the encyclopedia.
Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy head up this "wacky" adventure of a robot just trying to be himself in the world... a world full of people who consider him: Just a Machine... A Killer Robot... Reward... etc.
Get taken on an adventure of one liners - that you will remember about 1/3 of really well, and the rest will be lost to the recesses of your brain that just can't make room for that jazz anymore.
The Rewinders Podcast take their 3rd stab at a recording of this episode (due to technical difficulties of the first time recording over the internet)... but they still manage to spread the virtues and pitfalls of this 1986 film - and discuss the possibility of a reboot (that has been discussed a few times in the recent past).

068 - A Very Netflix Christmas 2019 [Let it Snow]
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Why suffer crappy holiday movies alone? Suffer them with The Rewinders Podcast! Or, in this case, just Joe. Continue the celebration of crappy holiday movies with Let it Snow! Staring Kiernan Brennan Shipka (Sabrina Spellman in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Odeya Rush (Jenna Walton in Lady Bird), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds in Spider-Man), among others that I am sure are on their way - Not to mention Joan Cusack (Geek Girl #1 in Sixteen Candles)!
Its a movie about the black hole that is Laurel, Illinois. Some sort of power of the old gods must lie beneath that occasionally cause trains to halt, car tires to pop, people to throw cell phones out of cars, and for BROOM ball to be played with GIANT WINDSHIELD SCRAPERS! Anyway, a few teens or twenty-somethings pair off intentionally, or unintentionally. Learn, Laugh, Love, Fear Raccoons, and end up at Waffle Town - for a big party. Some of them can't talk about their love between them... some of them are holding up the weight of a life of crushing depression... some are finding out who they really are... AND THERE IS A APOLOGY PIG! There needed to be more of the apology pig - but we will take what we can get.
Unlike past years, these riffs will not be super-cut. Sync up the audio track with the sound of the Netflix logo and have a side-by-each riffing experience! Come along, the Burrito Lady waits!
